Cameron Highland, 7th March 2023 – The Cameron Night Run 2023 – also known as CAMRUN – is one of the most exciting running events in Cameron Highlands that has took place on 4th till 5th March 2023, with runners from all over Malaysia coming together to compete in a thrilling day of night run racing.
The highlight of the event was the 21km and 10km races, which saw runners push themselves to their limits running in the cold climate of Cameron Highlands, in the pursuit of victory. We are proud to announce that the overall champion of the 21km race is Mohammad Ramzan Jani Mohd Pittli (bib number A8001), with an incredible time of 1 hour, 25 minutes and 22 seconds. In the 10km race, the overall champion is Wai Ching Soh (bib number E2195) with an impressive time of 38 minutes and 17 seconds, only 4 seconds shy of breaking the course record for 10km. Congratulations to both champions for their incredible performances!
The event was flagged off by four special invitees; Yang Berhormat Dato’ Ramli Bin Dato’ Mohd Nor (Cameron Higlands Parliament member), Tuan Syed Ahmad Khirulanwar Alyahya Bin Syed Abdul Rahman (Cameron Highlands District Officer), Tuan Azmil Hadid Bin Maznan (Yang Dipertua Majlis Daerah Cameron Highlands), and Encik Muhammad Solehuddin Bin Shamsuddin (Executive Director for Group Companies of Abang Strawberries). An estimated total of 3000 participants took part in the event, with runners of all ages and abilities joining in the fun.
